Taste of Oaxaca
Oaxaca, Mexico will transport you back in time to a rich and colorful Spanish Colonial City, infused with native indigenous cultures that thrived long before the Conquistadors. The city is alive with colorful art and galleries and beautiful architecture at every turn. Baroque churches recall the grandeur of 16th century Spanish heritage. Markets are brimming with an array of vibrantly colored fruits and vegetables, where Zapotec women offer their stacks of wood-fired tortillas and sheaves of fresh herbs and chilis. Oaxacan cuisine is revered for its diverse blending of land and sea with a different “Mole” for each day of the week! The scene at the colorful Zocalo features outdoor cafes and the sounds of lively Mariachi music. Oaxaca is a lively, interesting, and fun place to visit!
